Douglas G. Wilhelm

Douglas G. (Doug) Wilhelm is Vice President, F-35 Customer Programs for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company. In this capacity, he is responsible for setting the strategic direction for all F-35 U.S. Services, Partner countries, and FMS customer relationships and leading international program teams in the delivery of an integrated set of F-35 capabilities across the product lifecycle.

Previously, Mr. Wilhelm was Director, International Programs, for Lockheed Martin Corporation’s Mission Systems and Training (MST) business from 2009 until 2015. In that role, he was responsible for leading an organization that successfully implemented Aegis combat system programs in Japan, Korea, Spain, Norway, and Australia, as well as numerous international surface naval business pursuits.

He previously served, from 2007 to 2008, as Lockheed Martin Corporation’s Program Director for the proposal and successful capture of the Canadian Halifax Class Modernization Program.

Throughout his career, Mr. Wilhelm has led several critical initiatives for Lockheed Martin Corporation, including Deepwater C4ISR system development for the United States Coast Guard and Spanish F-100 Frigate program management. Earlier in his career, he developed Combat System designs for United States Navy’s DDG-51 class ships, performed electrical system designs for the Japanese Aegis ship program in Tokyo, Japan, and served as FMS program office liaison in Washington, DC.

In May 1983, Mr. Wilhelm graduated from Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He joined Lockheed Martin Corporation in June 1983.
